The Gundam universe is a phenomenon that has fascinated fans around the world for decades. What began as a groundbreaking anime series has evolved into an extensive franchise consisting of TV series, films, novels, and the popular model kits, known as Gunpla. In this blog post, we delve deeper into the world of Gundam and explore why it is so beloved by so many.
Gundam: A Quick History
Gundam first saw the light of day in 1979 with the TV series "Mobile Suit Gundam." The series followed the conflict between the Earth Federation and Zeon, where giant robots, or "mobile suits," battled in space. Unlike other mecha series at the time, Gundam focused more on political intrigue and human conflicts than the robot battles themselves, which gave the series a complexity that appealed to a broader audience.
