Figurines have long been a fascinating part of popular culture and collecting. These unique works of art, often representing our favorite characters from movies, games, and series, have become important to fans worldwide. But how did figurines become so iconic, and what are some prominent examples in this world?
Origin and Development
Figurines have roots dating back to antiquity where they were used in religious and ceremonial contexts. However, it was during the 20th century that the mass production of plastic and other materials enabled the creation of the more familiar figurines we see today—those depicting famous characters from film, TV series, and games.
