Over the ruins of an icy Nordic battlefield, the merciless Greek demigod, once known as the Ghost of Sparta, leaps into battle with his magical axe, Leviathan, in hand and a furious expression on his pale face, marked with a red tattoo in memory of his brother. The statue of the Greek warrior shows clothing more adapted to the Scandinavian environment, which is quite different from his Spartan origins, with his son and ally right by his side. The boy, using his father as support, leaps and draws his bow to fire one of his electrified arrows.
Iron Studios presents its new statue "Kratos and Atreus BDS Art Scale 1/10 - God of War", depicting the series' anti-hero protagonist and his son, as seen in the game God of War (2018). The Spartan warrior, Kratos, has had many adventures in the Greek era, such as avoiding outbreaks of major catastrophes and changing his destiny. With an intense and arrogant personality, he stood against the gods of Olympus and was eventually manipulated by the god Ares. The result of this was that when Kratos discovered he was one of Zeus' many sons, he sought revenge by killing his half-brother and became the new God of War â the title of the video game franchise in which he is the protagonist.
Even betrayed by his father, his vengeful nature led him to destroy Olympus. Tired of this path of revenge and destruction, Kratos began to wander the world in search of a new life and, upon arriving in Scandinavia, changed his mindset thanks to his second wife Laufey and, later, his son, Atreus. He was able to control his rage and act in a much more loving way towards his son, but due to his warrior instinct, after Laufey's death, he must confront and fight monsters and gods from the Nordic realm, as well as prepare his reluctant son for the future.
Created by David Jaffe in 2005 and first seen on PlayStation 2 and Sony's franchise, the iconic video game series God of War has made Kratos one of the most popular characters in gaming culture, praised by both audience and critics as one of the best new characters of the 2000s, with adaptations in novels, comic books, and of course, its own series of collectible statues from Iron Studios.
