For this special collaboration, illustrator iXima depicts Hatsune Miku within the world of Katsushika Hokusai's artworks, creating a synergistic fusion of Hokusai's enduring artistic legacy and passion with Hatsune Miku's constant innovative spirit.

When drawing character illustrations, I primarily focus on capturing line art and translating objects and spaces onto a two-dimensional plane. I feel that ukiyo-e represents both the origin of this method and one of its perfected forms. I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to showcase collaborative works alongside the great masterpieces and cultural traditions that have greatly influenced me. Hokusai's paintings have iconic expressions that define each work – whether it's the waves in The Great Wave off Kanagawa or the cherry blossoms in Fuji Seen from Goten-yama in Shinagawa, along the Tokaido. These elements blend excellently well with Hatsune Miku, who can take many forms when combined with various concepts. I enjoyed creating this work and hope it serves as a gateway to exploring the worlds of both Hokusai and Miku.
